Austin Bulldog Rescue

Founded with the mission to rescue English Bulldogs in need and educate the public about the breed, ABR has grown into a volunteer-run organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of bulldogs and other vulnerable dogs requiring specialized medical and behavioral care. While English Bulldogs are at the heart of our mission, the sheer number of dogs in need means ABR also helps French Bulldogs, bulldog mixes, and urgent cases when resources and fosters are available. We believe every dog deserves the opportunity to rehabilitate and thrive in a safe, nurturing, and loving home.Education remains a core part of our mission—empowering owners and the public to better understand the breed, its needs, and its responsible care. The better informed people are, the fewer dogs will end up without options.
