About
Haslam Serves
Haslam Serves is a monthly service opportunity for members of the Haslam College of Business. Previous service events include packaging food at Second Harvest Food Bank; talking with veterans at the Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans Home; and cleaning up the community with Keep Knoxville Beautiful. Check Haslam Headlines and ServeUTK for details.
Haslam Volunteer Impact
Haslam Volunteer Impact (HVI) is a service initiative within the Haslam College of Business. Students, faculty, and staff who complete 160 hours of service while at UTK will be honored with the prestigious Haslam Volunteer Impact Medallion at a special ceremony in the Spring. Those particularly dedicated individuals who serve more than 100 hours in a given year are also honored with our Commitment to Service Award. To celebrate milestones along the way, Volunteers earn t-shirts at 40, 80, 120, and 160 hours.
The Tennessee Volunteer
Being a Volunteer means working hard for something greater than yourself. It involves sacrificing for others, giving back to your community, leading by example, and standing out as a beacon of hope. In the Haslam College of Business, we are dedicated to leadership and service, continually striving to improve ourselves, our community, and beyond. As proud Volunteers, we live by the Volunteer Creed: “One that beareth a torch shadoweth oneself to give light to others.”
