About
At MDC Hialeah we believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities. We provide all SCHOLARS participants with a mentor as a way to ease their transition from high school to college. Participation in SCHOLARS will:
- Help build and strengthen skills to becoming a changemaker: empathy, leadership, communication and teamwork
- Receive educational advice, career development, financial aid assistance and overall guidance from an experienced MDC Hialeah student
- Build relationships and strengthen learning opportunities outside of the classroom
- Have fun
