Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.

1. Assist customers and vendors as needed. This will mostly consist of answering questions or helping to locate an item. (A handbook will be at the market to aid with this task. See Appendix A for information on the WFM Handbook).
2. Assist customers with purchasing WFM products. Accurately document items sold and maintain a cash bank. See Appendix B for a pricing list of our available products.
3. Document any donations received, Friends of the Market memberships sold, and product sales on proper forms. These forms will be clearly labeled and located in the WFM Handbook. 4. Assist Market Manager with conducting market counts, moving items, distributing materials and coupons, and other tasks as requested.
5. May be requested to assist vendors (typically scheduled by vendors ahead of time). Assist with transactions and record keeping for credit card, SNAP and W&M Express.
6. Remember to take breaks. This is a great time to meet vendors and shop the market!

Williamsburg Farmers Market (WFM) will be open from 8AM to 12PM is relocating to the Francis Street Parking Lot (P6) at 410 W Francis Street.

MASKS are required inside the market. 

Please report at the WFM information/token tent about 10 minutes before your shift begins. The manager, Tracy Frey, and tent regular volunteers will be on hand to help orient you. Parking is free in the Francis St. parking lot during the market.

Wear a mask (we’ll have ones if you don’t) and a WFM Volunteer T-shirt, provided at the tent. Copies of the vendor location map will be available.
