As the SGA Vice-President, I planned this event and was able to provide an opportunity for students to get an update about what is going on around campus.

For the student business showcase, I was able to set up my own booth and sell my jewelry items. It was a great opportunity to network with others.
On November 11 and 12, the Remote Area Medical came to our college campus and provided medical, dental, and vision services for free to our community and I was a volunteer on both days as a translator. I had a great time serving in the medical department because becoming a Doctor is something I aspire to become in the future.
As a part of the southern management leadership program, we went out to the Alzheimers walk at the National Harbor. It was my first time participating and I felt touched by the amount of support by the community.
This town hall was our first town hall for SGA, I was running for Vice-President during this time and I thought it was a great opportunity to get to know incoming students and introduce our new SGA members.
Scholarship night #4 was absolutely amazing! The PGCC Alumni's gave extremely helpful input regarding in transfering, scholarships, etc. I felt very motivated and inspired with the words of encouragement given by the alumni's. The input about scholarships and deadline seemed to stand out to me the most because I hadn't taken in consideration on what would be the appropriate time to apply for scholarships or even the transfer application.
I never heard of nuclear medicine up until last year. I found it very fascinating and during this zoom meeting, I learned a lot of new information about the types of procedures and treatments that nuclear medicine treats. Aside from that, we learned about the structure of the classes and the outcome after receiving your associates!
SGA Town Hall meetings are very informative for us students at PGCC. As a member of SGA, I cherish every meeting we have because of how impactful it is for our college. There is no better way to get the resources or information that we need from PGCC than a good town hall meeting with the college president.
