STRIVE Academy Meeting by Dr. Stephanie Paireeting, impacted me by showing me the different opportunities available to help me grow academically, socially, and as a leader. I learned about college tours, community service, team-building activities, and tutoring. It encouraged me to stay involved, take advantage of these opportunities, and become a more responsible and confident student.

Attending the “Let’s Talk! Freedom of Expression at PGCC and the Constitution” meeting as a College-Wide Forum Senator was a valuable and informative experience. The discussion strengthened my understanding of students’ First Amendment rights, the college’s responsibility to remain viewpoint-neutral, and the policies governing protests, petitions, tabling, and other forms of expression on campus. This meeting will help me better inform and support my fellow students while encouraging respectful and responsible participation in campus activities.

“Resume Workshop: Making Your Resume More Impactful”
I attended a resume workshop presented by Alicia Jackson-Warren from PGCC’s Internship/Career Development team. During the meeting, she taught us how to make our resume bullet points more impactful by starting them with strong action verbs and focusing on accomplishments instead of just listing our duties. She explained the “action + context = result” formula, which helped me understand how to show what I did, why I did it, and the results of my work. She also emphasized keeping our resumes clear, concise, and free of grammar and spelling errors. After attending this meeting, I feel more confident about improving my resume and presenting my experiences and accomplishments in a way that shows my impact.
