Apple Seeds is a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Fayetteville dedicated to inspiring healthy living through garden-based education. Apple Seeds was founded by Ozark Natural Foods (the Co-Op) in 2005 and has since grown to serve thousands of children every year. Apple Seeds partners with local schools to provide nutrition education and fresh produce to children through in-school events, field trips, classes at the farm, and food distribution. We've adjusted to accommodate for COVID-19 and offer virtual programs and food distribution--last year, we donated almost 5 tons of fresh produce from the farm to local families!
On Saturday, volunteers will help maintain the teaching farm by watering, pulling weeds, and doing other farm tasks. Keeping our farm healthy is crucial to providing local children with fresh, organic produce!" Bring a mask, water, and sunscreen (optional). Transportation is not provided.
