Información
The River Rescue event is an annual event lead by the Ijams Nature Center. This one-day cleanup annually brings together 500-800 volunteers to remove between 10-40 tons of trash from the Tennessee River’s shorelines and its tributary creeks. The UT Stormwater Management Department will hold their branch of this event on Second Creek, starting from where the creek flows south from under Cumberland Ave to where it flows into the Tennessee River. Partners of the UT Adopt-A-Stream Program can participate in this event and use it to fulfill one of their twice annual cleanups. Email stormwater@utk.edu for more info.
