Come out and join in an active group of Park District volunteers and be part of a community-led effort to make a difference. Help restore and preserve the Lyman Woods’ natural areas during a R.E.A.P. (Restore, Educate, And Preserve) Workday!
Remove invasive brush, restore trails with wood chips, collect and disperse native seeds. Anyone can get involved, and there’s a task for every ability!

The Park District will provide all tools, safety equipment and training in safety and restoration techniques. Volunteers should be comfortable working outside and doing hands-on, physical tasks. Volunteers must also be able to work together as a team and follow the directions of the workday supervisors. Youth volunteers under the age of 14 require a ratio of 1 adult for 5 participants. Dress for the elements and wear shoes you can work in!
