Greener Futures for Homestead Middleschoolers

🌱 Help us Grow a Greener Future at Homestead Middle 🦋

Calling all MDC students, faculty, and friends of the earth...

The Homestead Campus Garden Club is proud to partner with Homestead Middle School for a bi-weekly volunteer opportunity focused on cultivating hands-on, sustainable learning for the next generation of environmental leaders.

We need your help—not just in the garden, but in making this mission bloom. 🌼

Each visit, we:

• 🌿 Build and maintain a butterfly garden to attract pollinators and inspire young scientists

• 🍓 Plant diverse fruits and vegetables to enrich the school’s agricultural curriculum

• 💧 Water, compost, and nurture the land

• 🌾 Remove invasive species threatening local biodiversity

Together, we’re helping middle school students engage with real-life science and sustainability while beautifying their campus.
