Flood Cleanup Groups (Sandy Creek)

Join us as we send out volunteer teams to assist local families whose homes were impacted by the recent floods. These families have directly requested assistance through the Crisis Cleanup system, and this is an opportunity to offer hands-on help and bring meaningful support during their recovery.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll join a team led by an experienced group leader to assist with tasks like removing debris and cleaning flooded areas. Before heading out, we’ll divide everyone into groups and assign each to a specific location.

What to Bring/Wear:

• Plenty of water

• Work gloves

• Long pants

• Closed-toed shoes or boots

• Hat, sunscreen, and bug spray

If you have them, please bring a chainsaw or hand tools for brush clearing. Helpful tools include lopper shears, handsaws, hatchets, axes, and heavy-duty rakes. This will help us move more efficiently and make the most impact on site. Thank you for serving!

Age Requirement:
Due to the nature of flood cleanup work—including potential exposure to debris, mold, and physically demanding tasks—this opportunity is recommended for volunteers age 18 and older.

Volunteers ages 16–17 may participate with a parent or legal guardian present and may be assigned to lighter duties at the discretion of the team lead.

For safety reasons, volunteers under the age of 16 are not permitted to participate in this opportunity.
