January Community Volunteer Event at Garrison Park!

Thank you for joining your community to give back to our parks and green spaces!

Project Goals: This project will be focused on invasive removal! Join us to help remove species that normally outcompete our native species. These invasive species overgrow and take control of our natural spaces. Through our invasive species removal process, we will give native species an opportunity to flourish and grow. 

What to Bring:

• Please bring plenty of drinking water and fluids to stay hydrated throughout the day. Electrolyte beverages and snacks encouraged!

• Please wear closed-toed shoes, comfortable, weather-appropriate gear for outdoor activities and uneven terrain.

• Recommendations: Wear long pants and clothing, and don't forget bug spray and sun protection!

Accessibility: Please note that our activity for the day will involve walking on possible uneven terrain.

Where to Begin : Meet next to the Basketball Courts at 9AM to begin on the south side of the park!

Parking: There is parking available near the pool and throughout the park on the south side.
