The experience was very informative and inspiring. I feel very urged to get more involved with the Pullman community.

Since my freshman year of college at WSU, I have taken an interest in educating myself about the food insecurity in Whitman County. As a WSU student, I think that it is important that we give back to a community and county that has supported and given us as students so much. After attending Food Insecurity During a Pandemic, I gained a new perspective on how the Pandemic and the current fires have and are continuing to impact Whitman Counties food insecurity. Currently with the pandemic and the fires, more and more people in the community are in need of food, hygiene products, and baby supplies. With the increase in need, it is more important than ever, that we do as much as we can to increase awareness to help keep these resources available for people in need. I look forward to giving back to a community that has given me so much, and after this programming I now have the resources to start doing so.

This was a very informative and helpful use of my time and I feel like I can give sound advice on how to help members of the Whitman county community who are struggling with food insecurity.

It was really interesting doing a public square discussion, as I have never done this before for community service! Doing it in the form of a webinar was something new to all of us and it went very smoothly.
