Park and Trail Clean Up in NWA

I walked up and down the greenway and helped pick up substance-related trash, which made me happy to help clean up the beautiful trails!

I live very close to the Park and Trail Cleanup, and decided to pick up trash that day. I had so much fun & felt very rewarding!

This was such a great experience! Getting to exercise and see how I am making an immediate difference in the beauty of our trails! I walked around the Frisco Trail for around 3 hours today, starting at 12:00 pm and taking a 1.5 hour break at 2 pm and came back at 3:30 and picked up more trash until around 5. I made sure to pay attention to some places off of the trail such as near the creek and under bridges. I filled up a large trash bag and found a ton of alcohol cans, zyn packs, and other trash items.

Improved: This evening I took a walk on the Razorback Greenway. Through the NWA Tobacco and Drug Free Coalition, this volunteer event involved picking up trash along the trail.
