The session on how to transfer was helpful because I learned about the specific steps involved in the transfer process, including researching potential schools, understanding admission requirements, and making sure my credits will transfer properly. The session also highlighted important things to be aware of, such as deadlines, GPA requirements, and how to communicate with academic advisors to stay on track. Overall, it gave me a clearer understanding of what to expect and how to plan ahead so that the transfer process goes smoothly.

It was very informative and confirmed a lot of the information I had done during my own research on transferring

What I go t from attending this mini session is:
Average tuition price at a CC in the district is $3,990 annually while a 4-year institution is $11,260 - $42,000. The average cost for UMD is 12008 per year or 490% higher than PGCC. Collegetuitioncompare.com is a helpful website. Look for hidden costs including parking, late fees, on campus fees, and program related fees. Connect with students from the institution and join programs, centers or clubs.

I didn't really understood much of what's said, but I know the average cost of PGCC is $2017 and how expensive 4-year colleges can be. I still feel scared when that time comes. I'll might try out College Tuition Compare, and see if that will help me pick a college.

This transfer info session was very informative. I plan to transfer over to UMD fall 2026 as I'll finish all my classes this summer. This means I need to start talking to the UMD transfer advisor listed on the PGCC website and start applying for my graduation for this summer for PGCC. I'll also try to apply to all those scholarships like the Maryland Transfer Scholarship, Frederick Douglass Scholarship, Jack K. Cooke Scholarship, and Maryland Regents Scholarship.

As someone preparing to transfer, I found this session very informative. Though, I am familiar with process and have established a relationship with my transfer advisor, one of the biggest concerns for me was finances and scholarships. However, the resources and websites provided during this zoom have helped expose me to where I can find financial aid and methods to try to reduce the cost of tuition.
