(virtual) SGA Town Hall/ Q&A meeting with PGCC's President (March)

I was excited to learn the roles of each sga member and glad students voices are being heard on the floor. When it came to learning about the financial empowerment center I was glad to hear personal financial coaching was applicable to students. Overall, it was a great meeting and I felt like I learned so much.

Today I joined the sga town hall which I registered for through the MyPGCC portal first and today I listened to the concerns of the people such as the development of bathrooms and the finishing of the hall in construction. Something I found interesting was the financial section where I learned about their services and what they offer but sadly they only do it in places like oxon hill and temple hills.

I really liked attending this SGA Town Hall meeting. It was a good experience because I could listen to important information and also see how students can ask questions and be part of the college community. It made me feel more connected to PGCC and more confident about my future here. I liked that they gave us the opportunity to understand how things work and how our voice matters as students. Overall, it was a positive experience and it motivated me to stay focused on my goals and keep moving forward in my education.

Very informative meeting. It was nice to hear about what’s going on around campus and the events this semester. It also helped me get to know the student representatives.
