Refresh Session (2nd Session)

I love attending the refresh sessions. It helps me remember things I forgot during the break. It was really helpful. I loved everything about the meeting. I got all my questions answered. Other people's questions were also helpful as well and it was a good time.

The refresh session allowed for the coordinators to establish new rules and guidelines for the program. The session also reminded us that some of us are 2nd year students who have to set a new standard for the people who are new to PGCC. Overall useful and informative refresh session.

We did a refresh on everything and how to continue to maintain the scholarship. Learned that the book scholarship will be cut if you do not participate in the program.

During the refresh we reviewed what is required of us for the Promise Scholarship as well as what types of hours are accepted like engagement hours from clubs or fairs hosted/sponsored by Pgcc.

I learned that I need to stay on top of both my academic and program requirements to remain in good standing. One of the biggest things I learned is that I must complete 15 engagement hours every semester through PGCC sponsored events and log them through GivePulse. I also learned that not everything counts toward my hours, such as required meetings with my academic and career advisor, activities outside of PGCC, or paid experiences. I need to regularly check my PGCC SEAL Office emails and GivePulse for upcoming opportunities, keep track of my grades, credits, GPA, and progress, and make sure I attend mandatory meetings and scholarship mini-sessions. This meeting reminded me to stay organized, engaged, and responsible with my scholarship requirements.

It was a good recap session reminded me and advised me that having a 2.0 to a 2.49 gpa still is a good standing with the scholarship. The 15 engagement hours have to be school arranged and must log the hours best way to log the hours would be the website and not the app. A consequence that will be applied would be the cut of bookstore money.
