I attended the "AA vs AS vs AAS Degrees (Academic Wellness - Mini-Session)
." The session went over what different degrees stand for, what majors are associated with them, and what the best one may be for you depending on your desired career path. I learned that AA and AS degrees are best for transferring to a 4 year college for university, which is what I want to do.

I attended the "PGCC Know Before You Go: Virtual Career Fair Student Information Session." It was a short, but. informative session. Participants were given tips and advice such as what to wear, what to bring, and how to apply for positions for the Oct 16 Virtual Fair.
I attended "What Employers Actually Want: Introduction to NACE Competencies." it went over competencies and what skills employers look for when hiring someone. We went into break out rooms to work on a document that went over a scenario and what competency and skills are relevant according to the scenario. Contact wisepath@pgcc.edu for confirmation.
I learned a lot in the meeting, including how to find ballots and how to become included in your governments voting policies. The most impactful part was about the website, Vote411, and that you can compare candidates.
I attended the "Let’s Talk! Freedom of Expression at PGCC and the Constitution." This meeting reviewed what the freedoms of expression are, limitations, and how to schedule them. This meeting was very informative because I have always been interested in how students schedule protests at other colleges. They also went over when it would be appropriate to present offensive material for courses.
I attended "Résumés that Work!" In the meeting, we went over the key components on resumes that appeal to employers.
The demo was insightful, especially because I am a first year and was still a little confused about a couple of things. I needed more help regarding making impacts and the demo was a good walkthrough of it.
I really enjoyed the event, especially the Alumni section. The games were also fun and educational.
