Hi! My name is Samantha and I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Variety's Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children in Killeen, TX. I am originally from Portland, OR and am a graduate of the University of Oregon's Family and Human Services program. As much as I love the Pacific Northwest, I've loved spending the last few years getting to know Central Texas and exploring Austin. And I just found out that Jo's Coffee serves Stumptown Coffee! So I feel right at home.
As part of my role as Volunteer Coordinator, I also help recruit volunteers to assist our corporate headquarters for Variety, the Children's Charity of Texas in Austin, TX! We have so many exciting opportunities to assist children with special needs that I am sure there is a perfect fit for you! Whether your interest lies in direct service or you prefer to get your administrative feet wet, our nonprofit offers many opportunities to grow your skill set.
Email me at samanthar@varietytexas.org or call 254-554-5555 to learn more about how you can grow your expertise and passion to serve children with special needs today!... [more]
