I attended the DMV Black Restaurant Week hosted at pgcc. From 8:30-4:30 I helped throughout the day. I was assigned to a chef to help preform demos, prep and even set up the event. I was exposed to a lot of knowledge, empowerment, and networking. I would highly recommend this event for next year!!
The guest speaker in the beginning was very informative and a funny guy…I love how he was able to relate a key and peele skit to code switching…the video gave a great example in my opinion
I forgot to record my impact but from what I can remember, we broke out into different groups and I think we explained a story about ourselves explaining a certain learning experience I believe.
Ms.Janay did a wonderful answering my questions and concerns about the transfer process.
I really loved how much information was given especially from the financial group. Plus the jeopardy at the end was a nice way to finish off.
