I created colorings and drawings set to inspirational quotes. It feels so rewarding to be able to share positive messages with the elderly who are isolated. I hope this brightens their day!
The first portion of the hours was spent looking through favorite recipes I collected over many years and selecting ones for this project. The next steps were to create my template and system to collect a nutrient list, ensure that the SWAP guidelines are correctly followed, and then create a few recipes and get them ready for the final upload at the end of the semester.
It was heartwarming to think that the flavors my family and friends have enjoyed from my kitchen over the are appreciated by other families, and I hope they like them and make them a favorite meal in their own home.
