It is always a pleasure to visit my mentee at BAMO. This week I had the opportunity to visit her during music and art classes and work with her on an identity wheel activity.
During this session, I discussed self-care rituals with my mentee. We even had a dance party to celebrate her love for dance!
This was our first week back with the kiddos! We did not have an agenda for this week so I took the time to catch up with my mentee and see how she's been. I also assisted her teacher during class time with a class reading and writing activity.
During this MiniSKIRTS mentoring session, I had the opportunity to play outside with my mentee and assist her in crafting a self-introduction!
This community service event was strenuous, yet rewarding! The organization offered free dinner.
This was my first P.E.A.R.L.S mentoring session at Barack and Michelle Obama Academy. I met my mentee for the first time. Our assignment this week was Mentee/Mentor Contracts!
