The guided tour: at Pullman Farmers Market was a great experience. The market was full of various booths, with something for everyone. The Booths I gravitated toward were Ee-Ii-Ee-Ii-Oo ranch and the sustainable water distribution booth. As a student majoring in Animal Science/Pre-Vet, meeting sellers in the space helps towards my aspirations. At Ee-Ii-Ee-Ii-OO ranch, I met Michelle and her youngest daughter, Kylie; we had fantastic conservation about the lack of large animal veterinarians, the beef/pork industry, and their favorite cut. As a buyer and a student, I gained valuable knowledge in my study and bought protein that was not mass produced and local. Likewise, the sustainable water distribution booth was another insightful conversation; The woman at the booth spoke to me about drip irrigation on a small scale rather than commercial, which I had previously thought was the common practice of the sustainable method. However, to my surprise, drip irrigation can also be successful practice for individual gardens. The Pullman Farmers Market was a great learning experience; hopefully, it became a customary source of local resources throughout my college journey.
