At this event I was on an assembly line where I was in charge of organizing and loading boxes of girl scout cookies. This is one of my favorite community service events as it directly involves me with my sorority’s local philanthropy which is the Girl Scouts of America. It’s so much fun to directly work with these troops along with my sorority sisters. This is an event where everyone comes out and supports. I also was able to connect with Kappa Delta from the University of Toledo! This is my fourth and final year of doing this event and is something I will truly miss as I head towards graduation this May.

During this event I was able to help create decorations for the upcoming dance marathon event. The theme for the event is under the sea so I helped create fish, clams and jellyfish crafts. I was able to meet new people along side some of my friends. I loved being able to give back to such a wonderful cause. This service meant a lot to me not only because i’ve participated in dance marathon but I loved being able to be hands on with the work that I did today. I would 100% do this type of service work again!

During this time I was able to make 10 dog toys (a few pictured). This event was a lot of fun for me not only cause I got to be hands on with my impact but also being able to connect with others. I sat at a table with 3 others and it was nice to be able to work with them cutting up t-shirts and all the different designs we got to make. I would 100% do this service event again or an event similar too it.

During this service event, I was tasked to check in Girl Scout members of Western Ohio. I got to meet Girl Scouts from across Western Ohio, meet troop leaders, and work with national Girl Scout staff members. I was able to make connections with learning names of all the people I checked in, direct them to events that were happening inside the convention center, and get to meet people I would have never gotten to meet.
