I volunteered at Fayetteville Food Shelter. This included packing boxed dinners and assembling dinner plates for the community. Towards the end of the shift, we washed dishes and cleaned the kitchen. Although it was very cold, we pushed through and had cold weather participants sign as they came and went. For dinner we had chicken/cheese tacos and a choice of dessert. All the people here were so kind and respectful.

Keep the community going and growing!
We began by packing White bags of corn, tomato soup, tomate paste, beans, beef stew, and rice. We double bagged all the goods and placed them in Rolley carts and they were then distributed into large bins. Cleanup was quick and easy. Making sure all the cardboard was flattened out and trash was disposed of.
Jase welcomed me into Potter's House and allowed me to volunteer at my own pace. I tidied the clothing racks and removed misplaced items. Overall, this kind of volunteer work is very self-lead and I enjoyed my time at Potter's house.
When I got to kid's life after school, I asked Mrs. Linda if there was anything I could do for her. We organized some of the back closets while we waited for the kids to arrive. With the kids we worked on our times tables, and practiced ways to get faster at them.
