Distributed 100+ blocks from the Buda farm. Met some nice people and got some exercise outdoors on this beautiful day!

Folks at Hi-Fi were great. I rang the bell at the door. Dillon brought a variety of mushroom blocks to the loading dock. I took 25, kept some and shared the rest with friends.

There were no mushroom blocks out when we arrived. A worker said they would bring some out and eventually they did. We took 60 bags of Trumpets and 4 bags of Blue Oysters for distribution at two San Marcos locations and five Austin individuals.

Lots of Gaylord boxes filled with mushroom blocks at the Buda location. I’m happy to have an opportunity to keep some bags out of the landfill. Also enjoying learning about all the benefits of mushrooms and how easy they are to grow.

Observed 35 gaylords of mushroom compost bags. Some staff were bringing bags outside when we arrived. Met Jake working the frontend loader. Everyone we spoke to was very helpful, letting us know which bags were the freshest and how to identify the mushroom types. We took about 50 bags with us to a distribution site in east Austin. My friend and I each took 6-8 bags to use in our gardens. It was a very enjoyable experience and I plan to do it again.
