Participating in Preview Day as a member of the Special Education Ambassadors was a meaningful opportunity to represent the Special Education program at Bowling Green State University. I wore my BGSU Special Education shirt and was proud to represent a program that means so much to me and connects directly to my future career goals. As someone pursuing a degree in Special Education, I understand how important it is to have a supportive community, opportunities to learn, and people who encourage you as you work toward becoming an educator.
Being part of Preview Day reminded me of the importance of making prospective students feel welcome and helping them learn more about the opportunities available at BGSU. While also allowing me to connect with fellow students currently in my major. I am proud to be involved with the Special Education Ambassadors because it allows me to show my passion for the field and support a program that is preparing future educators to make a difference in students' lives. Experiences like this help me grow as a leader and strengthen my connection to the BGSU community. Overall, Preview Day was a reminder that service is not always about completing one large task; it can also mean showing up, representing something you care about, and helping create a welcoming environment for others.
