I had the opportunity to volunteer with Books for Africa where we organized and prepared books to send to students and children in Africa. The experience was both humbling and rewarding, as it made me more aware of the global educational disparities. As an American, it gave me a deeper sense of gratitude for the resources we often take for granted and a stronger commitment to doing my part in bridging the gap for those in need. It was inspiring to know that these books would help empower young minds and support their educational journey, and it motivated me to continue seeking ways to positively impact communities both near and far.

Valentine’s Day package party to prepare snack/hygiene bags to give back. Volunteers brought essentials items such as feminine hygiene products, non-perishable snack items and personal care products. On the bags, we wrote kinds messages and decorated them with love and care. This event was very empathetic for me because, giving back to those in need has always been important to me growing up.
