I organized and cleaned the equipment and equipment room. I cleaned the basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, frisbee equipment, volleyballs, dodgeballs, scooters, I went over the fridge/microwave/cabinet area, and I did the floors in the equipment room.

I did inventory of craft supplies for an upcoming event. I cleaned the activity room and sanitized light switches and door handles around the building. T'is the season for the sneezen, and with the holidays around us, transmission is high, so keeping a community center like this clean is another way that we keep the kids (and their families) safe.

After instruction, the kids did stretching, then practiced dribbling. Then the kids split into age groups and we worked on basketball drills. After that, they formed teams and we had a mini game. We took breaks for water every once in a while.

We did stretching first then broke up into groups to practice so.e gymnastics skills. The kids picked three skills that they wanted to practice and we worked on those for a while. After a bit, they switched and went to the game room and another group came in to practice too. At the end of the day, all the kids took turns showing everyone what skill they learned.

We met at the boys and girls club and Ms. T. gave instructions for how today was going to go. The kids split into age groups and took turns rock climbing while the other ground played in the game area of the B&G Club. I stayed with the groups in the game area and we played ping-pong, then we played several games of hot/cold looking for a lego piece we found.

We met at Lake Fayetteville for archery. For this activity, the kids were split up to come at different times so there would be a lower student:grownup ratio for safety reasons. The instructor spoke first about safety tips and instructions. Four or five kids were able to shoot at a given time and for a while they switched out practicing, then we all had a competition. The kids did really well with following instructions and staying safe.

We met at the Kessler mountain fields for flag football. First we did warm up exercises. Then the kids were divided into older and younger groups. Some of the kids needed help getting their flag belts on. They played a game, did some drills, and took water breaks. We made sure to quadruple check kids were OK if they took a tumble.

This was so much fun. The kids met at neat part of the Fayetteville trail near the Fayetteville Public Library for some hiking. It was such a pretty day for it. I walked with a group of 6-8 year olds that all knew each other. Along the hike, they told me (in exquisite detail) about some shows that they like, they talked about hobbies they like to do, and then we made up characters (kind of like pokemon) for an imaginary story. We picked the kind of creature, what powers they'd have, and finally their name. Then we all walked back to the trailhead for water and a break.

We met at the Kessler Mountain soccer fields. The kids were grouped into younger (nine and under) and older (10 and older) groups, and I worked with the younger group. The leader first directed the group with practices for controlling the ball. Then, the kids did more complicated drills for practice, and finally, the group of younger kids were divided into three teams and the kids played a soccer game. Two teams played while one rested, then they switched.
