I inquired about many different colleges and found out about the cost of tuition, housing situations and many opportunities for scholarships both merit and athletic.

I learned that the veggies/ food grown in the garden go to the owl market and whoever is in need of food. I also learned how to harvest basil, that there were different kinds of basil and that the flowers that grow on basil need to be cut off during harvesting otherwise it will make the basil bitter

During the virtual session we were taught about what it takes to start a club and how it wasn't just a thing to do and be done with. It was a part of your legacy. I was taught to make smart goals regarding the clubs future, how to reach out and obtain new members and how to draft a blueprint of the clubs vision.

I obtained a lot of information during the orientation such as the opportunities the strive program offers, how to be involved and the experiences we could have. An alumni also came on to testify to how much the strive program impacted his life greatly and how he has made many memories and friends due to the program.
