I saw the school's Flute Choir and the Jazz band. They were super impressive, and they did a great job. I liked the composition that was composed by the same guy who made The Incredibles
I decided to join the "LinkedIn 101: Making Your Digital First Impression Confirmation", as I am currently trying to get involved in politics, and getting a good LinkedIn profile would be essential to this journey! This workshop helped a lot; it taught me how to approach people on LinkedIn, how to look impressive to recruiters, and how to update LinkedIn regularly.
This was a networking event with the organization Young Dems. I met a ton of people across the county, high school students, college students, and even Senator Nick Charles and Senator Alonzo T Washington. I made connections and learned about current projects going on in PG county and how I can get involved.
I learned more about some schools that I never considered before. UMBC really stood out to me and I never even considered but they talked to me about their POLISCI program and what kind of opportunities they offer over there and I was more than impressed
I went on the September Mystery Trip. We went the Flight 93 memorial center in Pennsylvania. This was an amazing opportunity to learn about how regular people can make as great as an impact like that of solider or politician. The most impactful thing I learned was about a girl on the flight who was from Maryland. She was 21 and went to Towson University. There is a scholarship program dedicated to her, as well as a statue at the Maryland 9/11 Memorial.
This was the TRIO SSS Fall 2025 Kick Off, in this meeting we discussed what we can get from TRIO. How we can succeed academically, what TRIO expects of us to achieve, and how to get involved in TRIO. I really appreciated the meeting because it gave me time to meet peers from TRIO and what steps I can take moving further.
