These six hours represent the time spent collaborating with other students on a SHARP (students helping at risk patients) team! I was able to work alongside other students in the medical and psychology programs to make a comprehensive care plan for actual UAB patients. This project provided an opportunity to, not only work with students in different departments, but lend insight on what working on a collaborative team setting in a professional enjoinment could look like.

Today was our last session and we finished the semester off with a discussion on self-esteem. I was so glad we were able to cover this topic with middle schoolers because those are the year when self confidence can be the most challenging, especially in a school setting. We were able to talk about the importance of believing in ourselves and filling up our own cups so that we may pour into others.

Today's group was spend discussing emotions and feelings. Our activity required the students to share a story related to a specific emotion. The game gave us a great opportunity to get to learn more personal things about one another.
