I personally loved the event. I felt like the presenters could relate ot the problems we had, especially the lady who was talking about her brother.

I need to stop trying to do everything prefect all the time as well as carrying too much on my plate. The more I continue to do this the faster I’ll burn out. I need to make my mental health a priority.

The Scholarship night 1 session was very inspiring to me because I was able to write down barriers that I have with life and school work and I was able to get insight from my peers on how they manage their problems when it comes to self-care such as affirmations which is what I am planning to do from now on.

Met with Jasmine Williams and talked about our hurdles and played an activity of Green Light, Yellow Light; what's on our plate and what's hindering us from reaching our destination (green light). We had guided conversations about our barriers and overcoming them.
