As a group we discussed our future goals in volunteering here at SHU.

I made 3 blankets that are going to be delivered to kids in Bridgeport during the holidays.

I made a blanket that will be delivered to children in Bridgeport.

I got to help kids at a school in Bridgeport with homework and other activities.

I made some blankets that will be handed out to kids in Bridgeport during the holidays.

I made 2 blankets for kids in Bridgeport.

I was able to play bingo with the senior citizens of Bridgeport and I got to know them as well as tell them things about myself.

This was my first time at East Side Senior Center so I was introduced to one of the workers there who we talked with in the beginning. Then I played bingo with some of the seniors which was a fun way to interact with them, they were very helpful with helping me understand what was going on. I also thought it was cool that a lot of them speak Spanish and English so it was good exposure to people of other backgrounds.

Erin was very informative and made the guidelines clear. There seems to be plenty of opportunity to volunteer on and off campus and they kept saying how do able the 15 hours is.
