I attend the "Refresh Session (Makeup - 1st option)." I was thrilled there was a makeup session because I had missed the previous ones. The session was very informative as usual. They went over the scholarship requirements, and we did a Kahoot to test our understanding of the scholarship information.

The end-of-semester Promise Scholarship meeting was very informative and organized. I learned a lot about the scholarship expectations, including the deadlines. We were told that we must complete all open tasks before December 19, including responding to emails and password resets. Additionally, the 2026-2027 financial aid was discussed, and we should submit it by March 1.
There was a time mix-up for the game. It was posted for 6 pm, but the game actually started at 4 pm. I am glad that I was able to see the game. The women played very well; however, they lost 103-63. Our fans cheered them on, and the atmosphere was very nice, even though they lost.
It was a great day. Our Team (PGCC) beat Camp Community College, 102-62. I was amazed by how talented and well the team played. PGCC led the whole game. There was a great display of teamwork. I will definitely go back to watch another game, and even though I went by myself, I ended up seeing some of my high school classmates. (I forgot to take a picture and had to return, but the players were already gone.)
I attended the LinkedIn 101: Making Your Digital First Impression presented by Dyone Payne. The workshop was very informative, and I learned a lot about creating and updating my LinkedIn profile. I also learned that we should list Prince George's Community College as our school, not PGCC, because it will help us connect with more people. Additionally, use keywords when creating a profile so that if employers are looking for someone with specific skills, your profile will be seen.
I attended the “Soft Skills to Get & Keep a Job” workshop, given by the Office of Career Development and Internships, on 11/7/2025 from 2 pm to 3 pm. The workshop was very informative, and it included videos showing both professional and non-professional ways to act during an interview. The soft skills covered included communication, acceptable behavior, and appropriate language.
I attended the Virtual Career Fair organized by the Career Development and Internships department. The fair was very informative and organized. I was able to connect with several employees, such as Sodexo and the Cash Campaign of Maryland. The employees I connected with had a lot of information and asked for students' emails if they would like to receive more. This was an excellent opportunity to connect with future employees, and there were many paid internship opportunities.
The transfer mini session was very informative. I am more equipped if I decide to transfer to a 4-year University. The most important thing I learned is to take care of all my outstanding financial obligations, apply on time for graduation, and speak to my advisor to ensure I have completed all the required classes to graduate. The presenter (Elio Cruz) covered several topics, including financial aid, scholarships, and Pell grants, and compared the tuition costs between several universities in MD.
I went and saw the games on Tuesday (10.14) since there was no school and I needed hours. The game between Prince George's CC Soccer and Garrett College (women and men) taught me a couple of things, like what is considered offside, since I usually only watch football, not soccer. I was impressed with the passing of the ball and the talent of the goalies. I would definitely watch another game because after watching the women's game, I was able to understand the men's game more.
The workshop was very organized and informative. Being prepared for a virtual interview, including what to do and what not to do, was discussed. In the workshop, technology tips were also discussed, such as ensuring that everything works, including the microphone and camera, which can be achieved by conducting a trial run before the interview. Additionally, remove all distractions in the background and inform everyone in the household of the interview. I learned a lot of tips that I will use in my future interviews
