I attended the PGCC game against Cecil College. This game was highly enjoyable to watch as we won 4-1. I watched as someone on the other team got a red flag, which was something I had never seen before. I look forward to going to the basketball games next as the season is coming to a close.

I attended the PGCC vs Potomac game on Tuesday. The game was exciting to watch as always, but the outcome was definitely not the most preferable. Regardless, I noticed that we won the Thursday game afterwards so that's always nice to hear. I will be attending again very soon.
I attended the SGA Town Hall/Q&A meeting virtually. At this meeting the SGA members came together to speak on current college announcements and important news that all students could benefit from. One thing that stuck out to me from their announcements was the JA Finance Park Volunteer opportunity, I am personally interesting in working toward certifications in financial literacy that I can apply to my current degree. Knowing this, I want to see how I can get involved in this opportunity and utilize it to my benefit. Later on, after a lunch break, the Q&A commenced and there were a lot of great questions answered, especially one I had for graduation dates. Overall, the meeting was extremely beneficial, and I feel like I learned much more than I did reading over individual emails.
I attended the GivePulse Demo Training Mini Session hosted by Elio Cruz. In this session I got a great refresher for how GivePulse operates, especially after being without it for the entirety of the summer. There were many things I remembered such as inputting hours, writing reflections, and checking frequently for events posted to the group, but I had forgotten about some of the other features that GivePulse has such as the calendar section to search for exact dates.
For my first PGCC soccer game, I had a great time supporting our team over their win at our Largo location. Seeing a hat trick in person was insane and I'm highly excited to come back and see more plays throughout the semester.
I attended the Promise Scholarship Refresh Session. In this session I received valuable information about the program and the some of the benefits that I may have overlooked such as the bookstore fund. I always make sure to cover the resources I need for my classes with it, but knowing that it is a "use it or lose it" system, I'm going to up on more things I'll need for future courses. Also, being informed of the upcoming opportunities for scholarship hours is always helpful to ensure that I meet my requirements and engage wherever I can.
I attended the End of Semester Spring meeting hosted by the Promise Scholarship team. This meeting was very useful to tie up any loose ends within our courses and program requirements that are required to maintain our scholarship. We went over any last givepulse hours we required, including mini sessions, being sure our grades were up to date, and being aware of registering for upcoming fall classes on time so that we receive our funds within the proper time frame. Overall, another highly informational meeting that helped me know about any minor things I was missing.
I attended the doubleheader games of PGCC baseball against Hagerstown Community College. During the first game, the owls put up a good fight in the first half of innings, but unfortunately Hagerstown got the upper hand in the latter half. Even with that, the first game was highly enjoyable and had many great moments that showed off the skill of the players well. During the second game, the score was closer, especially with an outstanding 4 point fifth inning and a score of 7-12. Regardless, after attending my first ever baseball season, I have to say that the past few weeks have been extremely fun while going to these games. I will definitely be back for the next season where I believe we can win and have stronger matches.
Today I attended the "I Have My Degree... Now What?" Workshop hosted by Dr. Diana Wilkins of the Career Dev. & Internship Team. During this workshop we were introduced to the key career website of owl careers. In said website, students and post-graduates can apply to extensive array of jobs and internships that align with their career path, which I was unaware of until today. Also, we were given important tips on how to prepare for interviews, how to dress for interviews, and how to set up our digital profile for future employers. Overall, the workshop was highly helpful in allowing me to get a taste of the future when it comes to what I'll be doing post-graduation.
I attended the PGCC baseball game against College of Southern Maryland. Out of the three baseball games I've attended so far, this one was the closest and most high-intensity one. During the first inning, the owls came strong with a 4 point lead, which was tied up by inning 2, and from there it was a back and forth, with PGCC taking the win with a final score of 10-8. I can't wait to come back in the future for more games, especially after seeing such a great performance.
