This workshop helped me get a better understanding of the importance of personal wellness in college. I learned that stress in college is a mutual feeling, especially when balancing school, work, and other things going on. It also reminded me how important it is to manage stress, take care of myself, and ask for help when needed.
I learned some rules of college etiquette, such as how to communicate professionally, write emails, and act professionally without being "extra." I also learned how to create an email signature in Outlook, which will be useful to me in the future.
In this mini session, I basically learned how to properly communicate in emails, in person, and any other areas I might need to talk to someone. I also learned about proper timing, how important it is to give professors an early notice on assignments you may not meet the deadline for, etc.
Attending this workshop helped me understand the importance of personal wellness while navigating college life. I learned that college comes with responsibilities and challenges, and it is important to manage stress, balance academics with personal needs, and ad for support when necessary. This session reminded me that taking care of my mental and emotional well-being is just as important as succeeding academically.
