    Special Scholarships Program

This event was called "Get In The Know - An Overview of Canvas" and was held online from 3 to 4. This Zoom meeting provided very informative details on how Canvas works and how students can use it to their advantage. One of the most important things I learned was the course format, where the course name dictates the course's location and level. Overall, the meeting was very informative.

This event was called SGA Town Hall/ Q&A meeting with PGCC's President. This meeting starts from  3- 4 for the SGA demonstrations/ presentation. And from 4-5 we got to ask the pgcc president questions. Then their was talk on safety, and it's important. Their was concern on flock cameras. Their was concern by a student on how these flock cameras are being used. More or so to do with ICE activity with the flock cameras. But from what the police chief stated, ICE does not have access to the flock cameras in PGCC schools.
Their was also announcement on theater clubs by ms mckintush. Also announcements on how to create clubs. Plus, we got food too, which was nice.

    Special Scholarships Program

The name of this event was "Soft Skills to Help You Get a Job," which I attended virtually. This event, just as the name stated, was about jobs. The organizers went through what is considered appropriate attire for an interview and what is considered respectful to the employer during the interview, especially regarding timeliness. Other topics were also covered. Overall, the event was great and insightful.

End of Semester Spring 2026 (mandatory meeting)

I actually attended the one on the 8th. I made a mistake logging in with my personal email, which is why I was unable to get the links upon registration. Because of this mistake, I ended up applying for the other end-of-semester meeting as well with the same incorrectly written email. I ended up canceling my registration to re-enter with the right email, which I did, but it was canceled again by someone, which is why I was unable to enter my impact. But for the meeting on the 8th, the coordinator went over the requirements of the scholarship, which included service hours, FAFSA, GPA, and expected course credit for each school year and semester.

    PGCC Baseball vs CCBC Essex

This was a baseball event. It was quite an interesting experience, given that it was my first time. Although I didn't understand how the game is played, I did like the enthusiasm that players had while playing. That said, it was fun in its own way, although I don't know which way. It was a fun first-time experience for me.

The name of this event was a "virtual speed friending mixer," where, as the name stated, students got to make friends. This was done through the use of breakout rooms, with questions that allowed students to get to know one another. They also used Kahoot, where the top 3 received a prize. Overall, the event was nice, given that I got to interact with other students.

The name of this event was a Goal and Vision Board Workshop. During this event, we were given a presentation by SGA on what SMART Goals are and their importance. Afterwards, we created a vision board, on which we stuck pictures that resonated with who we were. During this time, I even got to interact with one of the students, which was great, making the two hours pass by quickly. We also got some biscuits.
